Adrian Denton is a British writer and illustrator.

Born in the London Borough of Southwark, most of his formative years were spent in East London.

Denton is an avid supporter of promoting diversity in the literary industry and is also a member of the Portsmouth Writers hub where he has gained valuable literary advice from writers such as Crime author Zoe Sharpe and best-selling author Cressida Cowell (pictured).

Denton began reading horror and thriller novels at the age of eight by borrowing books from the local library and cites Stephen King, Chester Himes and Toni Morrison as some of the authors that influenced his writing.

”I have always loved reading. My mother told me that when I was a kid I used to wander out of the classroom and the teacher would find me in the reading area, engrossed in a book.  The idea of escaping from the world in to entirely different realities with limitless possibilities is a wonderful past-time for born escapists.”

Denton was asked to write for the school magazine when the teachers noticed his talent for writing essays and poetry and he has not stopped writing since!

Denton currently works as an IT technical author for one of UK’s leading energy companies and is currently in the process of setting up a publishing company focused on promoting diversity.
